Welcome to the Windermere Rowing Club – the friendly rowing club in the lakes

Windermere is a successful and friendly rowing club based on one of the most beautiful stretches of water in the UK. We offer competitive and recreational rowing to nearly 100 members from beginners to elite athletes from our new boathouse based at the National Trust’s Fell Foot Park.  Whether or not you have rowed before now is your opportunity to join us.

Training and social rowing for club members

Whether you’ve just completed a Learn to Row course or you’re a seasoned rower, we’ve got something for you. There are rowing sessions most days of the week giving rowers the opportunity to gain technical coaching or prepare for racing at Regattas and Head races throughout the North of England. Social rowing is also always popular with anyone who fancies a paddle followed by breakfast by the lake.

Visitors

Due to the many leisure and commercial activities on Windermere and the unpredictable weather conditions we are regrettably no longer able to offer any rowing activities to casual visitors due to safety and liability reasons. Those genuinely interested in joining Windermere Rowing Club are invited to contact the Secretary.
